Anybody running Ion Yellow's for your fogs?

What's up guys, newb here. I ordered my 07 Tacoma and should be in on 01/17:clap: , trading in my 2001. I plan on replacing the headlights bulbs with some PIAA Super Plasma GT-X and want to replace the fogs with some Ion Yellow's (Nokya Hyper Yellow H10) for better visibility.
I'm curious on how those yellow fogs look with some bright purple tinted PIAA's. What do you guys think? Any pics?

I have Luminics JDM Yellows in my fogs with 6,000K HIDs in the headlights. I had the PIAA Super Plasma GT-X in my headlights before I went HID and they don't look bright purple tinted like you said. They really don't have that much color to them. They are pretty bright and are great lights, but if you're looking for an HID look, those are not the bulbs to go with. Right now, my truck looks like a Lexus IS300 with the HID and yellow fogs. I love the look. I don't have any good pictures because every time I try to take one, they don't come out good and don't do it justice so I just delete them.

I was going to do the same thing but my PIAA GTX's burned out a week after I got my fog light housings. Now I've got some Luminics Ultra White's. Still need to purchase a fog relay and switch before I buy new bulbs for lights that don't work yet. :hammer:

These pics have Silverstars in the heads amd PIAA Plasma Ion's in the fogs. I got mine from eBay. Shipped from Hong Kong but I sold them a few months back.

Still going to do something yellow, not sure if it will be Nokya or Luminics.

boone, that looks pretty good exactly what I was going for. What size PIAA's are you running for the fogs i can't find any PIAA's in H10/9145 size, are you using the 9005's?

jtrovato, that's the kind of look I was going for (lexus is), I was thinking of just going with the HID conversion but was not sure how they would work without the projectors (beam angle) since tacoma reflectors aren't made for HID light.
If you want PIAA for your fogs, buy the HB size.

These are the bulbs he's using in the fogs. They don't sell them in the US.

I've got the PIAA SP GT-X's and yellow fogs. The pics I've taken suck, but I love the contrast, and they work great together.

I give them :thumbup:. For the price, you can't beat them, and I'm not sure the PIAA Ion's are any better. I firmly believe it's worth the extra money to get the PIAA heads, but for the fogs, these Luminics have great color (true yellow 2500K, not bad looking stock halogen bulb), and I'm happy with the output. I have them in my wife's car too.

Yeah I agree with your comment on the headlights. I tried the Luminics this time around. The color is nice but the output is pretty weak. I miss my GTX's. :sosad:

Thanks for the review on the yellow Luminics. I'll probably get a set once I finally get my fogs up and running.
Those luminics seem pretty good and alot cheaper than the PIAA's, I think i'll start with the luminics in the fogs and try the sp- gtx's for the heads, hope those yellow ion are truly better for visibility than the white beam's.
I love the Lumincs yellow in the fogs, I usually run with them on all the time as my running lights. They look great with an indigo truck. The contrast in the yellow and blue with the truck looks great, and then when I have the HID's on it looks even better. There are a few threads on here about HIDs in the Tacoma without doing a projector conversion, including pics of my beam pattern and a few others. Do a search and have a look. The HIDs don't look bad at all in our housings and I would highly recommend them.
I installed a very nice hi/low HID kit in my XRunner. That bright white light really made the fogs lood dingy. I installed the Nokya Hyper Yellow H10 in my fogs and that combination looks really nice.

I debated between the Nokya Hyper Yellow H10s and the Luminics JDM Yellow H10s. I went with the Luminics because AutomotiveLightingUSA rated their output significantly higher than the Nokyas while consuming about the same power.

And with all the snow storms Colorado has been getting this season, I really wanted some yellow fogs to cut through the weather when it's dark. I also plan to do Pb's foglight mod soon.
