Just brought a used 2020 C-HR and the air controls look like this, anyone else have this issue?

Tried a glass cleaner we use for our windows and mirrors did nothing, any help would be great!

It is not a cover Pejay.
It looks like there is stuff dried inside the plastic. Is it smooth to the touch? I assume so.

I wonder if you can pop the knobs off and pop the clear plastic off, or of it's glued on. Have you done something like that before, do you have trim puller tools? If you proceed, try popping the passenger temp knob on the right side first, in case you make it worse

I will look at my car again later and some parts diagrams. If it's any consolation, the dash layout on the c-hr is pretty good and I don't really look here when I touch the buttons.

I would first try 90% alcohol and then Mothers Plastic Polish...
