Highbeam bulb is out in my 2014 IS-250. My wife is very concerned as her ex did this in his Audi and was told he "fried the electrical system" in the process. Sylvania bulbs are like $200 each and Amazon sells them for $30 a pair. Am I missing something here?

I’ve had good luck with DDMtunjng ultra hid bulbs in my previous German car

You can also try www.theretrofitsource.com to try other Osram HID bulbs as well. Osram is the parent company of sylvania. They have authorized dealers in Canada also

You have to be careful of knock-off’s sold on Amazon, eBay, etc

For actual HID lamps?
A lot of Amazon and Ebay sellers list blue colored halogen lamps as "HID"
$30 for a pair of real HID would scare me.

Check with legit sellers mentioned above. The Retrofit Source is particularly good.

I'd trust the Philips.
The DMEX, I don't like it for the simply reason that they have printed the box art to mimic Toyota/Lexus packaging, and though it is fulfilled by Amazon, the seller is DMEX.

Can't always trust reviews... a good number of Amazon reviews are shill-farms, and it is not uncommon for sellers to agree to a return only if the customer edits or removes a negative review.

I'd go with the other one even though it's an extra $20 for the pair.

There are a lot of counterfeit products on Amazon.
You are generally safe with "Ships and Sold from Amazon"

I'd be cautious about the seller. Philips standard HID's are 4100K, not 4300K.

I have purchased plenty of bulbs over the years from Powerbulbs.

The generic bulbs won't last very well. Their brightness and color will be bad. You get what you pay for here. I trust companies like Lightwerkz and TheRetrofitSource for legit parts.
