Anyone have the TRD Rugged Trail package?

Hi all. New here so bare with me.

Currently driving a 2000 Tundra (TRD, 4WD, V8, Platinum Metallic) and it is getting ready to roll over 100k miles. It's just getting broke in, however I have the itch for something new and a tad bit easier at the pump. Not to mention something easier to get the kids out of the back seat.

Does anyone have the TRD Rugged Trail package on their Taco? The black wheels peaked my interest in the package, however I am afraid there will be none to be found the longer I wait. I am probably not going to pull the trigger on the new purchase until this Fall. So I am a little nervous that these will be long gone by then.

That package includes;

Trd Rugged Trail Pkg: Offroad Tuned
-Susp W/ Bilstein Shocks
-16'' Baja Black Alloy Wheels W/P265/70r16 Bf Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A Tires
-Locking Rear Diff
-Engine Skid Plate
-Front Skid Plate
-Fr Tow Hook
-Fog Lamps
-115v/400w Deck Mtd Powerpoint
-Remote Keyless Entry
-Cruise Control
-Variable Speed Wipers
-Chrome Grille Surround And Rr Bumper
-Sliding Rr Window W/Privacy Glass
-Sport Seats W/ Drvr Lumbar Support In Place Of Bucket Seats
-Black Overfenders
-Sport Fabric Trim
-Metallic Tone Instr Panel Trim
-Leather Strng Wheel And Shifter
-Sunvisors W/Mirrors And Extenders
-Side Panel Graphics Graphics
-All-Weather Floor Mats

Anyone drive one? Pics??

Most importantly, How long did you wait for it????

'Preesh!

Look in the show your truck thread. There's a guy who posted pictures of his DC with the 'ahem', "rugged trail" package. Page 94, post 1405
The only difference is the black wheels and fenders.

IF you want black wheels just buy a normal Off Road and put on aftermarket ones.
hmmm, after all the mods I have done to my truck, I wish I had purchased an SR5 instead of TRD because I've pretty much upgraded all my shocks and rims, so TRD was kind of a waste, plus I even debadged it so you can't even tell it is TRD. However, if you want a locking diff over an LSD, then go TRD or Rugged Trail. Basically, you are paying $80 for black fenders and black wheels, like Da Hui said.
That's probably going to be the main difference between myself and the majority of the posters here. I'm not into mods, aftermarket, whatever.....I'm into buying what I want up front.

The only things I've purchased for my Tundra that were aftermarket were the Line-X liner, and a K&N filter.

However, after reading the first few replies comparing the TRD package to the TRD "Rugged Trail" with extra expense seems silly.

I was planning on putting a shell on it anyways. Maybe the better move is to get black wheels when I get the shell.

I take it the Rugged Trail package isn't all that popular here.

those that have it like it i think. some aren't fond of it. personally if they are going to make a special edition like the rugged trail in the stated they should make it a little more esthetically pleasing colour matched grill and bumper and i would like it. the chrome just doesn't seem to fit.
Congrats

Nice truck..Looks like you got an aftermarket exhaust? Didnt you like to keep your truck "stock"?
Cool, looks good in black. Now take the Brokeback sticker off.

That kind of looks like the Borla exhaust sold by dealers...do they still sell that one? The black is the nicest looking one of this trim package I've seen. Like others, I'm not a fan of the lighter colors with black fenders, black wheels and chrome.

Congrats on the purchase. It sounds like you found what you wanted.

Yep, it's the borla dual tip distributor add on. Also came with the homelink mirror. Only "mod" I've done was window tint.

You're right, got what I wanted. Thanks for the feedback and replies to the thread guys.
I have a silver rugged trail double cab and yes I kinda like the brokeback sticker. Here is a pic not my truck but just like it.

we got an all black rugged trail a while ago. i thought it would fly out of there faster than anything-it's been sitting on the front line for over a month..
I broke the back of a mountain yesterday @ Angeles National Forest! Ooooooooooh!

Sorry folks, tried posting pics here but Mac refuses to agree.

For those of you in the valley, glendale, burbank Pasadena, East L.A. areas, you got to check out road 3N17. It has quite a few spurs with killer (literally!) climbs. The hardcore stuff is in between Mt. Gleason and Sand Canyon Rd. A must. It's a great way to have to lube the diffs every month too! And the best part about it, it's in your backyard...not too far of a drive at all.
Love the white!!

White trucks with black fender flares look sooooo good.
Thanks bro ^ I cant wait to get a lift and some 285 M/Ts on there
the rugged trails need a color matched grille and base model rear bumper IMO
It looks good in black, and ok in white. Any of the other colors and the black over fenders just looks stupid. I agree that it needs the color matched grill and rear bumper. That would finish off the RT package nicely.
It's funny how many people on here act like they can't stand the rugged trail package when the only visual differences between it and a offroad trd is black rims, black fenders, and different stickers. Then a large percentage of people on here end up adding black rims to there truck so these people (iceburn) are saying if there trucks had black fenders and a different sticker they would absolutely hate there own trucks.
