Alright so been contemplating wheels for my Avalon, since it's a big car I think I'm going to have to go with 20's but I want to try and flush this out as much as possible. Before I traded in my Acura I was looking at Vossen CV1s specs 20x9.5 fronts +38 offset and 20x10.5 rear +42 offset rear. I'm pretty sure that aint happening on the Avalon but I still would like possibly a staggered or at least wider wheel than 8.5. I was wondering if any one has tried anything wider and how it went. I am definitely willing to roll/cut and pull fenders to make something fit, the only thing I see that hinders wider wheels is that there isn't much room inside the fender itself but going outwards seems like I have a decent amount of space, especially getting rid of the tab on the rear wheelwells.

Good Luck..The main issue is rubbing the shock mount on the rear..I dont see a 9.5 fitting without some mods..my 20s are a 8.5 35+ offset and sit flush with the body..I dont see the need for wider.

Why would you want staggered wheels on a front wheel drive car? You cant rotate them, it serves no point, and it costs a lot more...

Thanks yea I'm sure it will take a lot of planning to execute well so I'm just thinking for now until I figure out if I can really feasably do it or not, currently looking at MRR HR3s but not sure if the 9.5 with a +40 offset would sit too far in. I think I notice on yours the rear fenders have no roll and are stock correct? On my old car I ran 20x8.5 +35 offset all around and was satisfied at how flush it sat at first but down the line I started being dissatisfied with how they sat in the wheel wells.

Because I can and to me it looks good, not concerned about rotating too much honestly I cant even truly rotate my tires right now as they are directional, not much different than going staggered instead of front/back I can only do side to side, plus if I can figure out how to do perhaps a straight 9.5 wide all around I might not need to do staggred:).

All stock..My idea was to not mod things and not be able to bring it back to stock...

Well yea.. you can... doesn't mean you should. Staggered tires on a fwd car is going to change the handling characteristics of the car. You're going to have more under-steer, and in an emergency situation it may affect your ability to maneuver. To each his own though.
