Those filters are selling for $0.80 each, so that tells me all that I need to know...

At best, this is a scam, and one will never receive the product.

At worst, one will get a nice shipment of counterfeit filters of bad quality.

There are a lot of counterfeit Toyota parts out there. Be very careful when buying online. These days, I buy my filters in packs of 10 on Ebay, but ONLY when I can verify that the seller is actually a Toyota dealer. The last time I bought this way, filters were $4-$5 each. Good luck. Take care of your Toyota, and it will take care of you.

Alibaba doesn't have original parts. If you need original parts, go to a Toyota dealer.

I just do not understand questions like this . Any parts store will have brand name filters that fit , even Wal-Mart . Toyota does not make filters so who knows what supplier they use .

No way I'm putting a $0.90 filter even on my beaters. That said, some "work shop" grade filters on rockauto are like $1.62. So they probably bought the filters for way less than $0.90. I still wouldn't use a $1.62 filter. LOL! Even on a beater. However I would pick the Bosch 3311 Premium at $3.44.

Champion Labs is a reputable brand. Their Champ PH2840 $1.62:

However, you can try Alibaba and let us know. ;) ;)

There really isn't a lot of information searching "hebei chitong automotive parts" other than an Alibaba seller.

However, searching "hebei china oil filter" out jumps this ISO/TS16949 company, which looks more reputable.

I say buy one from there and from the dealer, then cut them apart and compare.

But really, as someone else mentioned, would you risk your engine’s longevity by trying a cheap oil filter? It’s only a few bucks a could times a year.

Some countries or distributors advertise or display the actual oe supplier. Example- partsouq, Rockauto sometimes will , but for some reason in north America we get the terrible cartoon diagrams from generic vehicles you might recognize from a 70s Haynes manual, and highly restrictive access to basically any inside information now a days especially..

North 'Murica! F yeah

Why would you ever buy anything else??
That one is a really simple question to answer: Quality!

Compare a cheap Toyota paper cartridge filter to a FRAM Ultra Synthetic one, new and after an oil change. It's like comparing a Corolla to a Ferrari. I'm not talking about a low end FRAM filter. Or a cheap copy you can get off FleaBay or From an ScamAzon vendor. Once you've seen a real one you can easily spot a fake.

Oil is simply the medium that passes through the engine. You can have the most exotic Mobil or Purple oil or the lowest cost brand you can find won't make the slightest difference as long as it meets the standard required. But whatever is being picked up and circulated either stops or passes through the filter. There's a reason you can get (about the only affordable item from Toyota) really cheap is because it's a really cheap filter.

As for the car care nut. I don't take everything he says as cash. He always promotes OEM and if he was honest he would tell you to protect your Toyota with anything else than a Toyota Oil Filter,

My 2 cents Canadian.

If you're running a dealership shop or are affiliated with Toyota in any way, you wouldn't use anything else other than OEM. If you were an independent shop, you would use whatever brand that falls in the owners budget range. CarCareNut seems to be affiliated with Toyota so understandably he would preach about using OEM parts, and he's not wrong for the most part.

What you pay, it's what you got. He's always right, I don't care what you say or think about him.
