Kyle,

Couple of questions on ASA wheels. I submitted these at the Tire Rack website, but never got a response...

1) Regarding AR1 wheels. The silver and chrome versions are/were availble in 17" to fit my 95 V6 XLE Toyota Camry. Apparently the Black w/machine lip are not. The black IS avaible in 17" to fit 4 cylinder Camrys. What's the difference between the 17" black and the 17" chrome or silver that would prevent it from fitting my V6 Camry? I know the V6 brakes are bigger, but does the black wheel have a different interior diameter or something from the silver and chrome?

2) The Chrome AR1, and the EM9 are listed as closeout and have been for some time. Is ASA discontinuing those models?

Thanks.

The rotors are about an inch larger in diameter for the V6. I believe the the black wheel isn't listed because it was 8" wide and had a low offset of 35. I believe rear fender clearance was pretty tight on the car. The EM9 and Chrome AR1 are discontinued and won't be available in the future....I've less than four of each of those and wouldn't be able to offer a full set.

Kyle,

Thanks for the response. For some reason, I had overlooked that it was an 8" wheel. But, unless the rotors come into play somehow, the 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder Camrys are the same so if it fits the 4 it should fit the 6.

So many choices on wheels

Eddie,

You are correct......I checked with our fit techs because it didn't seem to make sense. The reason isn’t clearance, it is the length of the studs. The studs are too short and the lug hole on the wheel is too narrow to use a shanked lug. If you were to install a 10mm longer stud, then you would be able to use these wheels. Otherwise, there won't be enough engagement for it to be safe.
