I was looking through my owners manual and I found a page for an auto dimming rear view mirror. Does anyone have this option on their corolla? Would it be possible to retro fit one?

I retrofit mine. Got it from a 2001 Camry. It’s a 2 wire connector.

My corolla was optioned with the map light rear view mirror. Had to depin the connector and move the pin to pin 1. The Camry is the only one I’ve seen with a 7 pin connector.

Here’s how I wired the mirror.

Purchased a in line add a fuse. Plugged it into my radio fuse. Then added a 7.5a fuse. Crimped the power wire to it.

For the ground wire, I used the ground bolt close to the steering wheel.

It only needs ignition battery power and ground. Since the radio only gets powered in acc and the run position, it will minimize battery draw.

There's also a few mirrors that have a dim on reverse feature as well. Need to wire that to reverse, a bit more involved however.
