Auto --> Manual MKIV

I'm looking into acquiring a Supra.

If I were to get a auto how much would it cost to swap it to a manual. From what I've read it costs about 7k. Is this realistic?

I understand the hardest part is sourcing a transmission. Is this really the only part hard to obtain? Thanks.

And anyone have some links from supra forums detailing this swap? I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm in the mist of building up my MKIV.

Price wise, other supra owner can tell you 100% the cost of the swap.

For an MKIV tranny, it depends. Over here is Toronto, I've mostly came across several 5 speed JDM tranny. A few 6 speed JDM tranny but a pricy!(when I go window shopping) but with attach engine, wiring, ecu, ect ect

What are you planning to put? a 5 or 6 speed transmission?
