Bad Crank Key

So the key on my crank some how broke free causing my crank pulley to fly off and my head to bend all 8 exhaust valves. And here are the pics.

I forgot to take a picture of the valves wail they were still in the head, but I think this gives you a good idea.

It's hard to see but the valves actually dug in to the sleeves a little and damaged the pistons.

Consequently the crank pulley is some where on the Las Vegas 215.

Wow.... how does that happen. Did you take the main pulley off before?

The engine was just rebuilt about 2000 miles earlier and I'm guessing the people that did it, didn't tighten the crank bolt enough. Just a guess but either way they said they would not take responsibility for the damage.
Thats a load of horse crap. Check the threads for the crank bolt in the center, see if they are stripped. Usually stripping or cross threading the crank bolt is the culprit for it all coming apart.
