Has anyone tried to turn their truck into a Baja style race truck? I have seen a truck on TTORA that fits this description but nothing from this site. I would like to do this. I have always been into dessert racing and that style of truck. I am looking for some bucket racing seats (4) to replace the front AND back seats. The aluminum stuff for the dash and Nav mounts that kinda thing. If anyone has done somthing similiar please post pics or ideas.

TTORA is your best bet as there's more offroaders there than here. There's a few here n there, and even a few hard core guys, but TN isn't really 4x4 oriented or populated.

Especially when the guys that do that get banned....

what color was the truck.....if it was black with LT in the front and a 4link in the rear and fully caged then.....it was already posted on this forum....look it up bud ;)

what are you planning on doing to your truck? i might be able to help out. But it depends on whether you want to "look" like a Baja Truck or "work" like a Baja truck  lol

Yea, ther is a BIG difference between looking like one and performing like one. But as for all out race truck, why cut up a brand new truck? If you really want to thrash offroad, buy an older truck.
lol

08tacomaman i can pm you the links for the Baja Tacoma if youd like.

That would be great, and i dont wanna just cut up a brand new truck but would like to bring some baja styles into it. Would like it to be able to perform MORE like a baja than it does now lol but no not like im gunna go out and race it.

bah.... fuck older trucks! :disappoin I've been working on them for the last 3 months.... Rotted floor pans, rusted bolts that strip or snap, gotta torch every damn thing to get it apart without busting a wrench, half the damn thing needs to be welded back together.... I'm so sick of working on those things. And I wouldn't trust the body mounts or frames to hold up to that kind of abuse. Unless you stripped it down to the frame and started over (blast it, fix the rust holes, etc). And I'm not Chip Foose so I don't have all that crap in my garage....yet. :D

Yeah that must be nice! lol Any northern state with snow and road salt has that problem. :( Hell, even cars 3-4 years old are a bitch to work on here thanks to that.
