2001 4runner battery drains while parked. suspect the alternator. Can't figure how to remove the fusible link for the alternator to isolate that circuit.

Most of those links are bolted in place.
Are you looing at the 120(100 or whatever she is) fuse?

Hey there! I have a 2002 4Runner and my battery also drained while I was parked and left me stranded out in 100 plus degree heat! It was in fact the alternator! I changed it out and voila he's up and running perfectly! If you want to check out my most recent YouTube video on changing out the alternator and belts. I'll leave the link here for you! What happens is one of the diodes in the diode-trio goes bad a creates a short that slowly drains the battery.
