Put a new alternator in, everything is working it is charging, drove for 10 km then a battery light turned on, check the voltage and was at 13.2 and is staying in that range. Un hooked the ground from the battery to check if its charging and it is.

Any idea why this dim battery light is on?

I assume that the 13.2 volts is when engine is on and alternator is running? That is a little low for most alternators, but not sure about yours. If you go to Advance Auto Parts or AutoZone or O'Reilly's, they will check your alternator and battery for free in the parking lot. Best to go when they are not busy.

Why did you replace the alternator? Sometimes a weak/dying battery can cause an alternator to die, so then the new alternator struggles to top off the weak/dying battery. Not much information was given on the before I replaced the alternator so assuming:

battery good/bad/untested?
Alternator was a store bought house brand like autozone, o riley, napa or oem?
Battery cables/ends/grounds clean and secure?
