I have an 05 Double Cab with towing package and my battery has died on me. And I noticed that this batteries are under warrranty for 24 Months. The dealership said to take it in but with the battery installed on it. After they do a diagnostic they will determine if the battery is actually bad or not. I know the battery is bad since I took it to Checkers Auto and they told me it was done. But my question is that I have my Sirius radio hooked straight to the battery and my 750 inverter with a fuse line built into it. If I disconnect this items and take it in will that void the warranty or Should I fully hide everything so they can't tell I had something hooked up to the battery? Any advice please.

For small accessories like that I connected to the power terminal in the top left of the under hood fuse box. This circuit comes straight off of the battery via a 4 gauge wire, and the connections can be hidden by the fuse box cover. You might want to disconnect your wires from the battery and connect them like this. Cover the wires in black wire loom too. This way the dealer probably won't notice the wiring you have added. They may or may not try to blame the battery problem on your wiring and accessories.

Mine happened too, with 25K on it. Same battery, the 710 amp, wouldn't hold any volts under load. Dealer through one in, in less than an hour under warranty. Just disconnect that stuff and head on down.
