I have an 02 taco. I think I may have a bearing gone/going. My problem is sometimes when I am driving along my belt squeals with the heat on. As soon as I turn the heat off (as in turn the fan knob to off) the squealing will stop instantly. Any ideas what might be causing this or where it is originating?

Mike

ps: which generation is my taco?

you have something stuck in yuor blower motor. not sure where they are located (never had to work on mine) but with your truck parked turn the blower on and listen, its probably under the hood, on the passenger side on the fire wall. thats just a guess though.

Thats what I was thinking maybe it was the blower motor, but it sounds like its the sepentine belt exactly, maybe Im being fooled. I will check the blower motor and see what I can find if it ever stops raining.

Thanks

Anyone else have this problem?
