I posted my turbo build, but not my engine swap in the 10th Gen. Corolla forum, but thought I'd link to couple vids of my project. It was a fantastic learning experience and underscores what can be done with our great Toyota cars - even the wee, tiny Yaris. I have to give some credit to member superchargedMr2 (Jim) for inspiration and for pressing turbokits.com for making a turbo kit for the 2ZR 1.8 engine.

Pretty sure I heard it was a 1ZZ or 2ZZ swap and then to turbo but I didn't look too much into it except for the last two episodes.

It was definitely a 2ZR-FE. I think theirs was an old and tired wrecker engine. I expect that's why it crapped out on them.

Well they real did a "Full send" with it. After all, it was an eBay turbo that they put there under "Yaris Hilton"

LOL! Didn't they! I'm sad they dropped it. Although another healthy 2ZR swapped in would have been great, I was really hoping they'd build the engine, bump up the turbo and install an LSD. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. The MR2 build should be fun to watch. Whatever Moog builds, I'll still be rooting for Marty's MR2.

They built their Yaris as a cheap budget fix up job, not a full blown build. Don't think they intentionally meant to blow the engine but you get what you pay for in an eBay turbo.
