Hey guys,
I recently had a problem with the compartments over the wheel well in the bed of my 05 tacoma. About a month after I bought the truck i was driving down the highway and heard a noise. When I checked the bed the compartment on the passenger side had fallen out. There were no sign of any clips that held it in or bolts.
I was wondering if any of you know how this thing is held in so I can fix it.

It just snaps in place. I put the top in first and then rotate the bottom in.

i think ima do that. i hate it whenever it falls out. seems pretty cheap.

yeah mine falls out all the time too. Have the diff breather extension in the drivers side so no problems there.

Use this...

for a cleaner (factory) look. I used Loctite epoxy and it's holding just fine.

The bed pockets are only held in with double sided tape. I popped one out installing a Hi Lift jack and used some 3M double sided tape to re-attach it. Just clean the surfaces really well before re-appling the tape. Here is a link to to the stuff I used. It seems to work well so far.

Yep I did the same thing. I broke a clip when I put in my 12v mod.

probably holding small things like rope, i use mine for bed lights though so i couldn't use them to hold anything much bigger then a deck of playing cards (which i do have in there :lol anyways

When I sleep in the truck bed I stick a minimag and other stuff there. That keeps them out of the way but easily within reach. Other than that they're useless!

Screws! I have retaped these things many times, with many types of foam tape. I'm headed out to the garage to find my drill right now!

The only thing I ever put in one of those is when I am towing my trailer, I take the black plastice grease cover off the 2" ball and set it in there. That way the thing doesn't get lost, and I don't get other stuff greasy.
