My new Thule 422XT bed rack arrived yesterday. I have removed the Toyota bedliner and will clamp the rack brackets to the side rails of the pickup bed. I'm wondering that if I cut the bedliner to fit around the rack brackets, will the bedliner still look okay? The tops of the siderails on my truck are a little scratched from years of the bedliner rubbing against them, so I really need to at least cover them. I can always go to a sprayed on bedliner, but really like the looks of the plastic one.
Has anyone run into this before?
I intend to use this rack for hauling kayaks.

Bedliner

I had not thought about that. The only problem I have with T100s is the limited availability of aftermarket stuff. I'm not sure a bedliner is still avalable. These trucks were produced from '93 till '01, but in fairly limited numbers, partially due to the import truck tax our government placed on them, so they aren't around in huge numbers like Fords and Chevys. However, I sort of like the exclusivity since you don't see them on every corner.
By the way there was not one single spec of rust on the bed of my 15 year-old truck.

Check car-part.com They have a few sometimes. I would just cut the liner if it were me. Use a dremel or razor knife and measure carefully, and it should look just fine if the cuts are close and straight.

Oh, and the T100 was only produced from 93 to 98 :D

Cut To Fit

Today I'm going to measure and cut the bedliner to fit around the rack supports, then drop it in place. If I don't like the way it looks or if it flaps in the wind, I'll have to either try the under the rail liner or go to a spray-in. I'd pretty much have to drive to get a used bedliner as shipping would probably be out of the question. Thanks for your suggestion.

Trimmed

I managed to get my old bedliner back in, trimmed to fit the rack mounts. All I need now is some of the industrial strength double stick tape that body shops use to help hold it down. I'd post a picture if I knew how.
