Moment, same issue here for me. We had so much snow and ice lately that i have an 'opportunity' to replace that pile of crap. With the deductible I am thinking of changing to something more robust and making out on the cash end. How much is the OEM bumper?

Does anyone know if you can use the same electrical linkage used for the stock fogs on something new for this entire swap?

Thanks.

Seeing that you guys are from the US I would give TRDparts4U aka Toyota of Dallas a call. They typically have the best prices on OME/ARB parts. The stock fog lights will not work on any aftermarket bumpers though so if you want lights you'll have to ante up some extra cash. Shrockworks also has a very nice bumper, as does allpro offroad.

Bumper Options

Nice leads. I was just wondering if you used your stock swith and wiring with your new lights?

I did use the stock switch as I wanted everything to look factory but I had to run a new wiring loom and relay. I suppose you could tap into the stock fog light harness if you were planning on only running a set of 50W lights however.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm pretty much sold on the ARB. Still gonna do a little bit of searching before I commit though.

One other thing. I just read that the bumper is UBBER heavy and that guys are upgrading the front springs. Is this a must do? I'm not planning on running a winch which I'm sure will help with the weight issue.
Any Ideas?

If the bumper is too heavy I might need a lighter weight alternative. Allpro????

Yeay they're heavy about 110lb or so. It's a good idea to upgrade the springs if you plan on running a heavy bumper. The factroy springs will sag pretty quickly with that much weight out front.

Not bad but you can do better. You can pick up the bumper for around $800 and the winch for around $550. I suggest TRDparts4U for the bumper (call them for their best price) and Quadratec for the M8000.

Hi there, I paid $725 plus $80.00 in shipping here www.4x4parts.com , If you want to order from them I would call them and ask for a quote on the shipping. they are a nissan place but had the best price I found.

front will sag a bit, and your headlights will need to be re aimed but I think it well worth the investment if you plan on doing a bit of off roading and winching.

So a ARB goes 11olbs, and a Warn Trans4mer goes around 70lbs....

Hmm... Either will make the front end sink a bit.
