I want to get the best free-flowing non-oiled air filter. Suggestions?????

Thanks Rich....
I just called and they don't have any in stock. They said they could order more but it would take 7-10 days for them to get them, so that's probably why they take several weeks to reach consumers. I googled the part# and couldn't find another place that sells them, not even Ebay. I'll keep looking. If anyone has personal experience with their quality, please chime in.This is where I got mine. If you order from them be aware it takes several weeks for delivery. Lists for '06 but fits all our V6s..

There are a bunch of places that sell them although their prices are not as good. Here are a couple of examples:I just called and they don't have any in stock. Got mine in less than a week and really like the sound and throttle response with the secondary filter removed as well. Same price as above and 05 and up to 08 are all the same for the V6.This is where I got mine. If you order from them be aware it takes several weeks for delivery. Lists for '06 but fits all our V6s..

Stock works. AFE breaths better and cleans up with soap and water for the life of your truck for $44.25 including free shipping. I figure that two Toyota stock filters would be about the same at your dealer. Your choice though.I'd just stick to stock air filter and remove your secondary air filter = better breathing and great filtration.
just put the K&N sticker on your rear window and noone will know the difference...
I agree with the throttle response and the sound with the secondary filter removed... I'm also averaging 20.5 mpg with that removed and the stock filter.
From what I've read AFE is the supplier for the TRD and the TRD CAI as well. Both of these are indeed oil versions.AFE's website: http://www.afefilters.com/IntakeSytemstest.php
got a friend who's getting one cuz of the whole oil-free thing. I'm thinking about getting one to replace the K&N.
Everyone I spoke w/ when getting the K&N stated that I shouldn't get it because it would void the warranty on the Mass Airflow Sensor and gunk it all up w/ oil and crap.
Thing is, what's the difference between the K&N filter and the TRD filter :whatthe:
There's no such thing as "void the warranty". Having said that, some dealerships wouldn't think twice about trying to ding you for using a K&N which is interesting since the TRD intake uses an oiled filter.Everyone I spoke w/ when getting the K&N stated that I shouldn't get it because it would void the warranty on the Mass Airflow Sensor and gunk it all up w/ oil and crap.
AFEfilters.com websight the #30-10114 is the oil version like the K&N while the #31-10114 is the oil free version.Ultimate truck lists two air filters . one the high perfomance 30-10114($59) and the pro dry-s 31-10114 ($44) What is the difference? This is for the 4L V6. They both seem the same?
You don't have to take out the secondary to use the AFE oil free drop-in. Also AIRAID Part # 510-179 cold air intake system retains the secondary filter but it is a oiled filter that they use.^ That would be true, no after market air box for me, not because they don't have a secondary, (I would assume that the guys making the after market stuff have considered the liability issues). I would feel better with that instead of removing it on my own guess that its OK. I just don't have alot of extra time to be messing with it. I like the idea of one filter for the life of the truck, but then again, time involved. I'll just buy new paper elements.
