Ok, before the search police jump on me I did a search relating to this topic and found nothing. I am looking a purchasing two bikes and also getting the bike rack accessories that allow me to tie them down. I think it would be cool to have them locked and that accessory allows you to do that.

Has anyone every used this accessory? If so what did you think? I have found them on ebay for 40 bucks.

I have the bike fork hardware bought from a Toyota dealership (xmas gift) and it is very week built . It looks indestructible and has a great security lock. the kit is about $50.

i have 2 of the toyota bike mounts. the bikes will sway a couple degrees when turning, but they are secure. i've been on road trips with the mounts and no problems. the only thing i don't like is having to take off the front wheel.

I have the "rocky mounts" that lock and they're awesome. Even 'froadin with the bikes in the back they won't come out. They wiggle a little and the bar ends stick out above the cab and make a funny noise if you drive over 100mph or so, but the bikes stay put.

i am not really that interested in building my own becasue i think that the locking feature would be pretty handy. I had a hard time locating some of the links.
