My blower motor for the heater/AC only works in high speed (1997 ext cab 4x4). When it does blow, it vibrates the whole truck and you cannot hear the radio.
Is this motor easy to get to? I would like to replace it. Can it be reached thru the glovebox or will I have to remove the dash?
Thanks for the info!

I think that you are looking at removeing the dash to get to it. I have never seen a motor shack a whole truck when thebearing go they make a heck of a racket. as for the other speeds could be the controler at the dash. but I would first take care of the motor, it being bad could cause it only to work in high with a full 12 volts to it.

Fan speeds

Most times the fan speeds are missing except for high it is the resistors not the switch.

You can access the resistors from behind the glove compartment, http://www.deserted1.com/FSM/Repair_Manual/03tacoma/ac/blores/insp.pdf this site should go to the resistor removal page.

The fan noise is either leaves etc caught in the fan or a broken fan cage, http://www.deserted1.com/FSM/Repair_Manual/03tacoma/ac/blomot/insp.pdf This site should take you to the fan removal page.

I hope that the links are good I only just finished with them now.

thanks for the reply. I was exaggerating a bit when I said it shook the whole truck but it vibrates so hard I can't see out the rear view mirror. Thanks for all the info guys. Have a great day
