Hey, new to the forum, long time Toyota fan, I currently own a 1992 Previa, great van, over 200,000 miles and still kickin', but I have a slight problem with it as of late. Just recently, my dash and tail lights, which are tied into the same circuit, are blowing fuses. My brake lights and head lights are fine, as is my aftermarket receiver that was installed about 3 months ago. I replaced the fuse, and it blew immediately upon turning on the parking light switch. I have no idea where to begin, I checked the bulbs for corrosion, and they are fine all the way around, they acually light up for a split second before the fuse blows. I am stumped, any ideas? I would surely appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Did you also check the bulb sockets for corrosion? (From center to outer cylinder/ground) Spray 'em with some WD-40 while your in there. Sagaboy may be onto something re: the new reciever wires!!!

Yeah, checked all the bulbs, no dice, they're all ok. Have not had the opportunity to pull the receiver out of the dash, will tackle that this weekend, too bogged down with classes to attempt that, just hope I don't get pulled over before then! Will update what I find when I get a look at it though...
