Unbolt the bed, around 10 bolts
unbolt the fuel filler neck, 3 screws
disconnect the wiring for the tail lights, s.b. 1 connector for all

UR done
what color are you painting it!

you should post some pics when you're done or something!

Good luck!
oh no worries, pics will be posted, and its going from ugly ass baby blue to pearl white.. But i am having one hell of a time getting my bolts to take the bed off, anyone have any other tips besides soaking the bolts in liquid wrench and heat, that liquid wrench is flamable, all i have access to is a socket set

big f'in breaker bar and hope that the bolt doesn't break.
anyone know how i can make my own?
Piece of pipe big enough to fit around the handle of a ratchet
ok so i went and spent my gas money on a breaker bar.. no when turning i would turn towards the back wheel on the drivers side? just need to make sure because these things are a bich to get to
the bolts are not coming off, even with some liquid wrench, anyone have any other ideas besides cutting them..
you do realise they are double nutted .. right ? you need to soak and wire brush ... and pull 1 nut off at a time ..
yeah i do realize that, I had both with a wrench and a socket on em and nothing, soaked em with liquid wrench last night, do you think they would be good to take off now?
I just took the bed off my '92. It was 8 bolts and then the screws around the neck of the fuel tank. If i ever take another one off I am going to "C" clamp the flanges on top of the bolts that keep them from spinning. I used a socket and breaker bar and the torque ended up bending the flanges. I had to cut one off and drill another out.
