so one thing is holding me back getting this tranny dropped so i can change out the clutch release bearing...its a bolt that is hiding on the top of the transmission, under the exhaust manifold area is , i cant for my life get that bolt to budge, is there a trick? (82 2wd)

Lots of extensions and a universal. For the top two I like to break them free with a six point box wrench and a cheater pipe. Doing the rest from underneath is a time saver. At least there's enough room for that on my 86. I also undo the three down pipe nuts and remove the exhaust pipe hanger from the bell and then open up the pinch bolt to slide it further down the pipe and out of the way.

and if tht doesnt work pull the motor with tranny and use impact but my uncl whos a toyota mech for 32 years said its a waste of time pulling out the motor and he also said u need swival sockets and long extenions
