I have a 2005 Sienna. Both brake bulbs were burned out so I replaced them. During the day (when the headlights are not on), the brake lights work fine. But in the evening when I turn on the headlights, the brake lights are extra bright (like I’m riding the brake pedal) while driving. So when we actually push the brake pedal, the brake lights on the side do not active (because they’re already on) and the only indicator to others that I’ve hit the brake is the little light above the tailgate.
I checked out the bulbs and their connects looks fine. I pulled out the brake switch plug and checked that and nothing indicates that there is an issue.
Anyone seen this before?
