brake lights, need help

Ok i have a 96 tacoma and my brake lights keep blowing fuses left and right and i was wondering if anybody would know why they are doing this and if anybody knows a solution to my prob. Thanks

Do u have a tow hitch? if you spliced the wires for the trailer lights it could be grounding out.
try cleaning the contacts on the flasher relay. dought thats it but I've seen it do the trick.
might wanna check the rubber seals around the lights. water could get in there and short it
i dont have a hitch but i do have altezza lights but ive had them in for quite a while and the problem just started recently
Does anybody have a wiring schematic of the brake light system or know of somewhere i may be able to get them????

Just because the problem just started recently does not mean that it isn't related to them. Typically, the chances are that if you have added in something to the factory circuit and you have a failure, it will likely have something to do with that addition you made, whether it be a connection that has broken loose or whatever. I would still check them out. As for a wiring diagram, I don't have one myself, but if nothing else, you could probably find one in a haynes manual or something.
i ended up taking it to a my mechanic and part of the wiring harness was burnt and they replace the section.
