I blew a wheel cylinder on the right rear so I decided to do a complete rear brake replacement with new wheel cylinders, hardware spring kits, shoes and new drums. When I bleed the brakes, I've noticed that the fluid coming out of the bleeder was black in color. Now I have no brakes, it looks like the death of my master cylinder. Hopefully with the new one coming in a few days, it will cure the problem. It's my 1986 Camry.
Yeah I'll have to wait a few days for the master cylinder. Can't find one anywhere in the whole Salt Lake City area. I went on ahead and ordered it from rock auto. Be here on Monday
Did you bench bleed the master? That is necessary if the reservoir was empty. This /can/ be done on the car if you have a helper. If you would like to know the procedure I'll be happy to share.
