Just picked up my 08 Tacoma Sport TRD today. It's black, double cab with the long box. So far, I LOVE IT!

I was a pick up girl forever, starting with the Mazda B2200 back in college. I got a Ranger years back, and then moved up through two F150s. I traded the 05 F150 in in Nov 2006 for an 07 Escape as I was horrified by the gas mileage I was getting, but the Escape just never really did it for me. I got a quad in the Fall, and have two German Shepherds. I just decided that I needed to go back into a pickup with canopy for the dogs, and ensure that whatever I purchased could tow the quad trailer easily.

Now I am horrified by the depreciation I just ate, and vowed to never buy another domestic vehicle if I can help it. But I am happy with the truck, and finally feel like I'm in something that is worth the monthly payments. I will miss the heated leather seats in the Escape though....

Anyway, hello! I am on Vancouver Island in BC.

where did you buy your truck from, how were they to deal with and if you don't mind me asking what did you get it for? I'll be looking at buying a new truck in about a month

Hello,

I bought my Tacoma locally, here in Port Alberni. I talked ot dealers both in Surrey and in Nanaimo, and the prices were no better. I get the impression that Toyota dealers don't come down in price much. What I did get here was a better than average price for my Escape. And they threw in some extras like free stereo swapping from my old SUV to my new truck, as I just paid to have it installed before xmas.
