Just an FYI on LED bulbs. My bro-in-law tried to do an LED swap on his Chev Venture as they use turn signals for DRLs as well as he wanted to swap his rear signal bulbs to keep it even. After paying more than triple what a normal bulb costs, he was sadly dissapointed as the LED 'equivalent' was vastly dimmer. It was a brand name LED as well. More often than not the reflectors in the signal bulb housing are set up to capture a 360 light projection from the bulb, whereas LED's have a directional light projection, out the end of the bulb. So while they may state they have the same brightness, it may be only on axis and not in every direction like an incandescent bulbs.

This can be potentially problematic in heavy traffic as LED bulbs might not be seen from off axis, as well in inclement weather your normally visible rear end lights may be much dimmer with LEDs leading to potential dangers.

Also because of the much lower voltage drop across an LED your blinking rate will most often double or triple in speed.

As a result, he took them out and went back to normal bulbs,

I just swapped out my stock tail lights with leds. Realyy nice face lift and looks badass. Only problem is that sylvania.com states the rear turn signal is 3156. That is not true. The tail light bulb is 3156 and the turn signal is 1156. Just in case you wanted to change the blinker to led.

If you plan to swap out the the stock bulbs with led bulbs you will also need to replace the stock flasher relay to an led relay. This will lower the blinker speed for all led bulbs
