I have been trying to ignore this popping clicking noise over small bumps for awhile now! Ive finally had it and decided to do something about it. I know there is a TSB for this problem but what have they done to the new part to make it stop making this noise. I removed the front bumper removed the extension and went for a drive. Noise is gone. I tried putting pieces of rubber between the frame and bumper extension as well as between the bumper extension and the cross piece. Went for a drive noise was back. My question after this rambling is what can i do to the old extensions as i am out of warranty? Oh after all that i had to change my AC clutch!

Nobody compare old and tsb bumper extensions? Fill it full of spray foam lol

In that TW post the noise came back on the guy. I would use some locktite to keep things from coming loose again.

So the tab doesn't fix the problem it's just the bolts that come loose?

Take it to a shop that can weld aluminum and have the problem permanently fixed. It should have been welded in the first place IMHO.

Yeah, Mine still does it a bit. Thinking of having mine welded.
