I'm in the market for an MR2T (hopefully a virgin one) here soon and I want to know what kind of problems or things I should look for when I go to look at them. I'm looking for a 93-95 due to the suspension and the few other differences that the 91-92's didn't have. I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know so I don't make a bad decision. :D

my friend just got a 94 n/a. CLEAAAAN...compared to my car. But the guy was asking for like 10k or somthin. And the car had nuthin wrong with it except for a crack on the bumper which the guy covered it with a mr2 bra. So my friends dad hassled him for it and he got it for 7250...not bad i guess. Its clean though. Good luck finding your deuce.

first of all, here's a check list::

1. check if the car has been repainted. this will give you an idea as to if the car was in an accident or not.
2. check for oil leaks, especially on turbo cars.
3. check for rust, our cars are old and if not taken care of, it would rust.
4. check for uneven wear on the tires, this will tell you if the car is not aligned and can be easily aligned.
5. check the engine for unusual sounds, i.e. pinging, tapping, knocking noise.
6. it turbocharged, check the turbo for play
7. ...
