I have a 2007 Prius and want to fit a solar-powered fan to keep the cabin cooler when parked. I made one that fits in the window, which kind of works, but it's a hassle to fit and it's somewhat of a security risk, seeing as it's made of hardboard and doesn't actually engage the window glass.
My Previa van has a cabin exhaust flap valve at the back - fitting a fan over that seems the obvious solution. Does the Prius have such a thing ?
I only have a small panel; I doubt it could power the regular cabin fan directly, and I suspect that that would quickly drain the Prius 12V battery were I to try and use it.
I had read that later Prius models have a roof panel and fan built-in - how does that work ?
