ok guys i posted on here a while ago about my CAI intake bein done an i never had pictures so now i do an here they are i don't care if you think it's ghetto because i already know it is but hey it works and i haven't had any problems since so yea!

as you can see i didn't quite go the traditional route of goin through the hole in the side where the stock piping goes...instead i went right under the battery and right on top of the drivetrain and then used elbow pipe to direct the PVC between some little triangle space in the frame and then to hold up the intake from fallin on the ground i used zip ties and some screen meshy material this was all accomplished in less than 3 hours very nice if you guys who are contemplating wanting to do this sort of custom CAI an have questions about materials needed just post on this or PM me and i'll help ya out anyway check it out an lemme know what you think...and once again i know it's ghetto and very cheap but get over yourself

well i had a ram air before this and it just sound cool all it was was a little fart pipe and no noticeable difference....um....the CAI wasn't THAT noticeable like some people wanna believe that it would be but thanks to my finely tuned back and my highly sensitive stock camry seats i could feel a little more pull in the high end RPM's and that's exactly where you are SUPPOSED to feel the power of a CAI...right now i just have an APC filter on there from wal-mart but i'm gonna experiment with a K&N filter cuz everyone an there mom swears on it being the best filter so...yea

Actually a shorter intake pipe with less bends will give you more of a high end/peak gain. A cai with a longer pipe and more bends will give you more of a linear gain for midrange to high-end.

this is what you do...
go to home depot buy some rubber pipes (rubber, dont worry they have the right sizes and all the clamps you need)
next your gonna need an electric supercharger (runs of electricity)
i used two engines from 2 hair dryers
if you want you can get the plastic pipes put you gotta do all the cutting
if you dont feel like doin that just use a pepsi can
then get a pop charger and have fun
it works real good
forget ram air

dude, i'm really currious, did you remove the battery, and go in its place? also, those fuse boxes are so anoying, agree? i wish there was an easy way of mounting the battery over on the right side, and redo all the wiring to that section. that would be gravey,

I had to undo the battery clamps on mine to get the CAI in place, also removing the one fuse box's clamps helps quite a bit.

if your gonna do this
go to a junkyard
get a pontiac ram air or q45 ram air ect
make it go to your air box and thats it
or... stick a pipe out into the exterior by the bumper so you actualy get more air

for the love of pete... you dont need to go underneath like that.. its going to be a lot more hassle. check out where silver streak put his (and where i put mine through) right underneath the fender well... that way the filter is farther away from the tire of your car and its a HECK of a lot easier to get to!!! on top of that, its a shorter pipe- meaning less bending and more efficiency!

i'm gonna make a cool insulation thing in my engine compartment sometime soon, gonna cover up the short ram intake pipe, and i'm gonna block from the horn to between the battery and some black box thing, and wrap underneath where the air filter will be sitting, and i'll make sure it sits perfectly with the hood above, then i'll grab some plastic or something, and go underneath the bumper and make the air go up into the intake.

wish me luck when i get the supplies.
