Last week the car started but would need the ignition to remain engaged for a couple extra seconds...

Today, the car does not start at all. When I turn the key, the car makes a continuous clicking sound and the OIL red light starts flashing.

Any ideas?

Battery needs changin' is my bet. Would not be your starter, since you hear the clicking.

Thats my guess too... but should not the battery light come on?

nope my car did the same thing today !!! lol it was my battery!! take it to a autozone they will test it for free!!
