Hi, so I've been looking around on the forums but don't have any specific wiring guides to help me wire the LEDs to the courtesy door light. I want the LEDs to turn on when i open the door and off when the door is closed. I can't seem to find the right wires to tap my LEDs into. Could someone with electrical experience help me? I have very little understanding of circuitry, so please help me understand, thank you.

There are several threads for DIY of that on here.
I ran mine from the overhead and they fade just fine.
But I put a junction block on the floor under the consoles to minimize wiring.

I have it all hooked up, it's just the door assist wire that isn't hooked up the way I want it. If you could elaborate on what you mean? Is the overhead one the junction running from the driver side 'a' pillar? Which wires did you tap into exactly? sorry for so many questions.

In my case, I tapped the overhead light socket. It was made to handle a high watt bulb. Once I put an 18 smd led in, it wasn't tapped heavily. I ran 20 ga zip from that down the passenger B pillar, under carpet into center console. From there I split to front wells and under back of front seats.

Replaced small trunk bulb with 2 modules of 24 5630s too. (That's when I learned the trunk light will actually time out!)

Yeah the stock trunk light is completely useless. I think a Bic lighter is about 3 times as bright. Trunk lighting is on my short list.
I just soldered up a Y to the bulb adapter. Heat shrink for safety and real 3m to stick the panels.
It's nice when shopping, but I was thinking more "stuck on the highway" without a flashlight between my teeth. LMBO.
