I just purchased an used Camry SE 2019 and it only came with winter tires. At the moment they are on 17" wheels but I read that normally the car use 18" wheels. I'm now shopping for wheels/tires and just looked on the "tire and loading information" sticker on the car and it only list 215/55R17 for tires. So, should I get 18" or 17" wheels? Is 18" in summer and 17" in winter problematic? Never had to check for that before so I'm learning.

When my tires wear out I am thinking of 16 inch steel wheels with tires the same height as I have now.. a much smoother ride.

As long as your offsets are correct and the overall height is the same, you'll have no issues going from 17" to 18" and vice versa. My daughter was running 18" snows on her Civic R which used 20" summer tires. 18" is the smallest diameter she could use due to the size of the front rotors.
