Toyota dropped the manual trans in 4Runners in the 4th Generation so It's not likely they'll bring it back.
Bronco has a 10 speed manual!

I'm guessing it's based on demand. What surprised me is you can get a V6 2023 Tacoma with a manual 6 speed so offering one in a 4runner wouldn't seem like such a leap.
All my cars are manual, always have been. Not being able to get a new vehicle with a manual transmission is a deal breaker for me.
