I bought a used 94 camry w/2.2l engine w/auto tranny. I get this "tinny" sounding rattle/clicking whenever I give it gas in reverse or when I floor it while in drive when the car is cold. Any ideas what this could be?

Could be a heat shield of some type that's loose?

Could be a loose heat shield like mentioned or possibly a broken exhaust component like a muffler or more common some material in the cat converter broke loose. You can take a rubber mallot, tap on the cat and the muffler to listen for any rattles.
