true enough. altho i think there was actually 16 made. 15 sold, and of those 15 one was stolen. theres a rought list somewhere of who has the trunks.

Mine was new last summer baught from felk but came out of the mold with minor gel clearcoat defects, With long shipment time. Good Luck on search.

you could always just buy a huge roll of mock-carbon fiber vinyl and slap that on the trunk if youre just going for the look. IMO, this is the cheap way out and it probably won't look as good as the real deal. :lol:

Not to pee on your guys parade, but if no groupbuy was done besides the original ones that were made, there were only like 8-10 of us. I may part with mine soon enough, but I doubt it.
AND just to pour some vinegar in the wounds of those who don't have it, they're SEXY. They weigh like 8 pounds too. It's ridiculous.

Ah. Hopefully done better than the first :/ Can't expect perfection in something that's so rare though.

meh. cf on our cars are not the best use of money. hell, I have a cf hood and well....I can't wait to get it painted over. I save a bit of weight, but it's pretty much negligible on the most part. especially since I carry more useless weight on purpose regardless - i.e. system, tools, etc etc

but for the people who want and like the look of CF, getting your trunk wrapped in CF is a pretty good and cheap alternative. A good wrap will make telling the difference between a real cf trunk and a wrapped trunk almost indistinguishable- except for the weight difference of course.

Speaking of CF wrapping, does anyone in the SoCal area know where I can get a lip spoiler wrapped in real CF? I've had an oem lip spoiler for almost 2 years, and don't want to install it because it doesn't match my CF trunk.

No, I don't want to sell my lip spoiler, sorry...

it's not terribly hard to vinyl flat surfaces like the trunk. you just have to have a squeegee to get the bubbles out and alot of windex to uhm... lubricate things. :lol: get on youtube and look up "how to apply vinyls" or something like that.

btw- check out vinyldisorder.com and see if they have any sheets of carbonfiber look-alike. if they do, PM me.
