I've been searching and there's a lot of single exit kits, a lot of custom work, and a lot of debates whether or not dual exits are good or not. I'm not interested in debating.....

I owned a Dodge Ram and installed a Flowmaster catback single in/dual out system (American Thunder series) and it was perfect sounding (for that truck) and increased my MPG by like 1-2mpg. I just love the dual exits..... I'm not concerned about performance in terms of horsepower.

The only kit I've seen that is exactly what I want (per say) - is Flowmaster kit.
Model 17432

My question is....
What other companies (if any) make a similar kit? ...and something mild in sound.

Since I've owned a flowmaster before, I can't help but steer towards buying it again. The kit listed above has the 50 series and I'm not sure that's mild enough for me. I'm sure I could get used to it - but hey, it's all about the research. I've seen the folks putting the 70 series inline with their stock exhaust piping - and I really enjoyed that sound. However - I haven't seen anyone with a 70 series dual exit/dual piping.

Another question - If I went with the 70 series muffler w/ dual exit (custome made piping) - what affect would that have on the overall sound VERSUS the single exit & single stock piping? Would the sound be 'deeper' in tone? Softer?

I'll probably visit my local fab boys down the street who've done exhaust work for me before. I'll ask them about the 70 series and cost to pipe me up. I'll compare that to the Flowmaster kit in cost and see..... unless there's other kits I'm missing.

I've seen that kit on ebay for around $550ish. The only catch was it didn't come with the polished tips. They had to be added. wtf?

***Mr Torque- The obvious question now is did you notice a gain in mpg and/or performance??****
