Hey guys not sure if this has been discussed before but I read the ccfl will not work with camrys with xenon hid. I wasn't sure if this meant camrys that came factory with hid. But my question is I have aftetmarket hid installed and was wondering if they would work with the ccfl projector headlights.

Thanks!!!

You cannot get factory-equipped Xenon headlights on Camry models in North America...

And what do you mean by CCFL? That will be too weak of an output source for headlights even if you found a way to make it work.

yes it will work, but projectors on the aftermarkets are crap and will cause a lot of glare with hids the ccfl are mainly for looks. JVX a big retrofitter came up with some cool mods to make them seem brighter for better cosmetic looks...

:ugh3::rolleyes: Eh its not too bad :[

:thumbsdow Wrong dude. U don't have to look "directly" at a light source for it to glare at you.

key word "HALO".
What? So your saying that if I kneel down and look into my projector I wont see ..

glare1    [glair] Show IPA noun, verb, glared, glar·ing.
–noun
1.a very harsh, bright, dazzling light: in the glare of sunlight.
2.a fiercely or angrily piercing stare.
3.dazzling or showy appearance; showiness.

Otherwise I'm open to corrections seriously.
