I sit at my back center seat of my 08 SE with leather, and found the rear center seat is not confortable at all. It is too hard and to high on my back. You don't want to sit there for more than 20 min.

Before the Camry, I have the 98 Volvo S70. I found the driver seat in my old Volvo were more confortable. The rear center seat, which has same usage as the Camry, was way more comfortable.

I don't think that many sedans have a center seat that is meant for constant use. Its a different story on my Highlander because it has a flat bench seat in the rear.

...even worse, one reason I picked the Camry is for the fact that the back seat is "almost" flat (have 3 kids to place their some times). Look into Caddy, Audi, MB, Lexus, Infinity and all other larger, comfy sedans and you see that the backseats are even more formed out with the middle more like a jump seat but mainly the armrest. Only Charger/300C's are better (not SRT8 though), but I did not want to buy these. If you need permanent room for 3 in the back...got to buy something different.

Yeah, the Camry is not as exagerrated, but the unevenness is there. The seats are designed and catered to the two window passengers.

I'm always the one with the biggest car with the group of friends I hang out with(there are 2 STi's, an old 95 Escort GT, and a 06 Yaris.) so I'm the one that drives most of the time. Everytime we get in the car, I hear shouts of SHOTGUN and WINDOW because no one likes the middle seat, even in the Camry. The Highlander is better now, since its flat, it doesn't really matter anymore.

+1 ...I only seat 3 kids in the back, not adults ..and the kid in the middle has a comfy toddler seat to dive in.
