Does anyone have space in the center console storage? Where the covers slide open? I had a 2014 I was leasing and remember it being very flush when closed. I just bought a 2016 and there seems to be a space where they close together / not as flush.

Maybe I am remembering wrong but this is bothering me aesthetically.

2015 closes flush.

no space, nice and flush. I can see the dealer tell you its updated for charging cables

Just picked up a 2016 for my wife and her console closes flush.

The cover should just slide and close flushed. If you're not hearing that clanking sound when closing, the latch might not be closed properly.

This might not be the best example as I do have a cable going into the console thru/underneath the side panel to the gap of the 2 sliding doors which creates a tiny gap.
