i recently bought my 87 yota pickup. it has a body lift but im not sure how much of one, whatever is common i guess. it has 33x12.5x15 's on it right now and im curious if i could downsize to 31x10.5x15 's without it looking bad. im concerned about the gap it may leave. any suggestions?

There is no such thing as a common body lift, they come in several different sizes. look under your truck and measure the lift spacer between the cab mount and body mount and that will give you an idea of what size body lift you have. you can definatly go with a smaller tire, but there is no way i can tell you if it will look good or bad, its your truck and only you can decide if it looks good or bad.

Downsizing from 33's to 31's means a smaller diameter of 2 inches, and a radius of 1 inch. What ever the gap is that you have now will be 1 inch larger.

I'd think it'd look just fine. And, you'll probably notice a slight increase im mpg, too.

I run, 31 10.50 15s on mine. No lift, though.
