I was thinking of changing the lenses out of my '95 for somthing that give out a little more light (either with cleaner lenses or a different bulb).

Is it possible to get a set that are made out of glass? I don't want them to go milky on me after a few years like plastic is known to do.

Do any of you have any particular recommendations? I do want the lights to look mostly origional, but other than that, I don't care too much about styling.

There are some JDM style ones on Ebay. If your lenses get milky take some normal toothpaste grab a cloth and rub on and rinse with water. (You could even use a buffing wheel if you really want them clean) Works like a charm.

I'll try that HIR replacement first... Sounds like what I need!

I did some forum searching and found a pair of topics relating to bulb modification.
http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=173428)

one linked to a BMW page(http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/More_light.htm) mentioning how to modify a 9005 bulb to fit the lowbeams - but the most interesting part of the page was where the author mentioned he disassembled the lens to clean it, getting better performance in the process.

This seems like the logicial thing to try before trying to replace the lenses. Is there any way to get right into them?

Thanks for the replys so far.

i think the HID's are the best choice for you. I have a friend who just got them installed on his 98 Camry and they look great. SO BRIGHT & CLEAR!!
