Hello,

I have a '98' Avalon XL with cloth seats and thinking of changing out to the leather seats. Went to the junkyard and surprisingly they had a '96' Avalon with pretty good seats (just the driver side worn) Are these interchangeable or do I need to look at '98' seats? Thanks!

Don't know. The Avalon uses the Camry chassis that had a model change in 1997.

The seat is held on by 1 bolt at the end of each end of the seat tracks (4 bolts total). Get a tape measure and compare the attachment layout you have with the later model car. Each bolt is hidden by a plastic cover.

So are you suggesting that a '97' and up Camry seats would fit a '98' Avalon? Didn't think of that. But yeah I will bring my tape and check to see if the measurements match up. Also IF Camry seats fit, I will check those too, that would be good cuz that would give me more options to choose from! Thanks!
