Wow, so thats what it means?

From my google search...
P0171 was solved by getting bigger injectors. I'm running a STi fuel pump + ECU so the stock WRX injectors couldn't deliver. Maybe you need to get the injectors cleaned
A guy who i guess solved his problem
Took car to independent mechanic. He diagnosed one bad injector. Replace injector and car is running fine. Toyota wanted to replace 3 injectors.

If that doesn't work, it may be a rear O2 sensor malfunction which is causing you to run lean. Try replacing the rear O2 and clearing the CEL - see if it comes back after that. If it does, I'd suggest replacing the front O2 sensor as well. They usually go bad at around 30K miles. You could also maybe get the dealer to fix it, it should be covered in Emissions warranty because it deals with O2 which is air..

Hope this helps. Oh yah, Try The Injector thing FIRST. Then do the O2 stuff because a new sensor can run up to 300$ and its a 50/50 chance that you get the right sensor.

I am still searching and getting conflicting reports...Toyota guys say it is Fuel too lean, but up there it is injector problems...Another possibility is a P0171 can be the result of a dirty Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Did u do anything near the time when the CEL came on? (get anything changed what ever)
