So I know the difference between check engine light on and check engine light flashing. But what makes this instance different is that the engine light flashing slowed when I was driving slow...and the flashes sped up the faster I went. To the point that it was flashing so fast it looked like it was solid on...only dimmer than when you first turn on the car. Then I would slow down in traffic...all the way to a stop at one point..and it blinked slower and slower and when I stopped, it was off. As soon as I started driving again, it started blinking, and the faster I went, the faster it blinked!. Anyone ever experience this?
So as soon as I got to a red light? I put it in park and revved the engine to see if the flashing was based on the rpms or something else, and the light stayed off, so I assumed maybe it had to deal with the traction control or ABS, not neither of those lights were on and I could press hard on the brake the traction control symbol engaged would come on...so it wasn't that. But when the light turned green? The Check engine light was no longer on OR flashing...and has not been on since. Now it was on and flashing for a good hour prior to me getting off the freeway and stopping at a red light, there were no misfires the engine pulled smooth etc, etc. They had just changed out my transmission fluid and the water pump...the week prior the replaced the front rotor and brake pads. I truly do not know what caused this and would be interested to know if this has happened to anyone else??
