Hello all
New user here. Maybe someone can help me out. My 05 tacoma prerunners check engine light came on the other morning shortly after I started it. I do my own serviceing as far as oil and filters. There has been something going on with the feel of the way the transmission has been shifting periodically that catches my attention. When sitting stil at a red light i can feel it nudging or something. The day before the light came on I loaded up the kids and tried to start it, but it just kept turning over and didn't start until a second try. Has any of this happend to you, and do you have any tips?

Thanks. I did that and the hand held said all kinds of errors. (evap, leak detected) and (Auxillary emmissions error) with some other po??? codes. The truck is running good, so I disconnected the neg, pole of the battery for about 5 mins, then reconnected. I drove my normal 86 miles to work this morning with no engine light. So far so good. Thanks for the repky.

Engine Light

I Have Been Having Some Of The Same Kind Of Problems With My 1999 Tacoma. Mine Was Po171 Code. I Have Had A 02 Sensor, fuel Filter And Today I Cleaned The Airmass Flow Sensor. I Thought I Had Fixed It, But The Light Came Back On After About 15 Miles. I Would Be Interested To Know What The Dealer Tells You About This.
